Working with children is joyful and rewarding but it also takes great reserves of strength and energy. Discover ways to use Heart-Centered Leadership techniques to support teachers while creating a foundation for a well-working organization.
Heart-Centered Leadership begins with an appreciation for the wonders of the world and the people around us. It is a way of leading that honors individual gifts and helps teachers bring their best selves to their work with children. Organizations led by heart-centered leaders become interdependent, mutually supportive, and joyful. That doesn’t mean people don’t work hard, get discouraged at times, or face challenges. What it does mean is that any challenge is secondary to the sense of purpose and pleasure felt by a shared commitment to an important mission.
Through interactive experiences discover how an appreciation of the world around us can guide interactions with teachers, children and families. Participants will leave with a set of leadership tools to help cultivate a Heart-Centered work environment.
- Consider heart-centered listening techniques and understand how this type of listening can increase communication and build relationships. When we listen to each other, children and the families in this heart-centered way we honoring our understanding that everyone, form the youngest child is capable and creates a foundation for a well-working organization.
- Learn “tools” to use to create an organizational environment that attracts, honors and retains dedicated teachers and families. With a focus on these tools such as life-long learning and gratitude, leaders can find strength in their own reserves while supporting others in their organization.
- Create a personal action plan related to the newly learned techniques and leave with resources to support you in the rewarding process of creating a balanced, inspired work environment.
