Florida

The CEUs issued by Bertelsen Education for our webinars satisfy licensing requirements in Florida. “Child care personnel must complete a minimum of 10 hours/1.0 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) of in-service training during the state’s fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30” – Department of Children and Families. Training must be accredited by an IACET-accredited provider (Bertelsen Education) to count toward licensing.

  • There is no state-wide registry.
  • This will satisfy licensing requirements in the state of Florida
  • Florida Department of Children and Families accepts CEU training from BE because of our IACET accreditation.

 

Indiana

The CEUs issued by Bertelsen Education for our webinars satisfy licensing requirements in the state of Indiana. At least 12 hours of continuing education approved by OECOSL annually (related to age-appropriate development standards) based on the date of inspection – Information and Resources on Ongoing Training Requirements

 

Kansas

The CEUs issued by Bertelsen Education for our webinars satisfy licensing requirements in the state of Kansas. “In each licensure year, each staff member counted in the staff-child ratio and each volunteer counted in the staff-child ratio shall complete 16 clock-hours” – Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

 

Maine

The CEUs issued by Bertelsen Education for our webinars satisfy licensing requirements in the state of Maine because Bertelsen Education is a qualified online source. Please check with your licensing representative. “The annual number of hours of training required is determined by the size of the program and number of hours the Child Care Staff Member works per week.” Centers with less than 13 children require 12 hours each licensing anniversary. Centers with more than 13 children require 30 hours each licensing anniversary”. “The program must document all orientation and ongoing training of all staff by proof of completion from a qualified online or in-person source” – State of Maine Child Care Facility Licensing Rule.

 

Colorado

The CEUs issued by Bertelsen Education for our webinars satisfy licensing requirements in the state of Colorado because Bertelsen Education awards IACET-approved CEUs. “To meet the annual clock hour training requirements, all licensed child care providers must have three hours of training focused on social-emotional development and 12 hours of training focused on eight competencies (listed here: Colorado Department of Early Childhood). If training is a CEU, it must be approved training by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). CEUs must be converted into clock hours.” Colorado Certificate Requirements

 

Connecticut

The CEUs issued by Bertelsen Education for our webinars satisfy licensing requirements in the state of Connecticut because Bertelsen Education meets NAEYC standards. “Professional development for program staff shall be required for one (1) percent of the total annual hours worked” – Statues and Regulations: Child Care Centers and Group Child Care Homes. Hours can be tracked by either the fiscal or calendar year based on the individual centers policy.

  • There is a state registry: Office of Early Childhood: Early Childhood Professional Registry (BE is not allowed to be on it because no outside organizations can be on the registry)

 

Hawaii

The CEUs issued by Bertelsen Education for our webinars have satisfied licensing requirements in Hawaii. “Practitioners who are associated with a DHS licensed program are required to complete 16 hours (in at least 2 training topics) of on-going professional development training annually” based on the individual’s annual training period – Hawaii Department of Human Services Early Childhood Registry.

  • There is a state registry: PATCH HI (BE is not allowed to be on it)

 

New Hampshire

The CEUs issued by Bertelsen Education for our webinars satisfy licensing requirements in New Hampshire. Bertelsen Education is IACET-approved, and it aligns with NAEYC standards. Please check with the local licensing representative. “The center director, agency administrator, site coordinator, site director, and all child care staff shall complete 18 hours of professional development within their first 12 months of hire, and annually thereafter” – He-C 4002 NH Child Care Program Licensing Rules.

 

Virginia

The CEUs issued by Bertelsen Education for our webinars  satisfy licensing requirements in the state of Virginia. “Staff members are required to have a minimum of 16 clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities” – Child Care VA: Child Care as a Profession

 

Washington

The CEUs issued by Bertelsen Education for our webinars have satisfied licensing requirements in the past. Individual Participants must submit their own paperwork to have it approved by WA for each course.  DCYF requires “10-hours annual in-service training”. “The annual training requirement is based on the DCYF fiscal year (July 1 – June 30)” – Training Requirements and Completion Timeline
