Department Chair, Early Childhood Education

I have been an active member of the Early Childhood Educations field for over 28 years. Currently, I am the Department Chair for Early Childhood Education with Rasmussen College, Throughout my career, I have taught children ages 6 weeks through 12 years in for-profit and not-for-profit early childhood programs. With 12 years of experience in educational leadership, I also have been integral in hiring, professional development and coaching, budget development and management, marketing and parent partnerships. Additional experience in adult training and education, presentations and workshops and course development has been a highlight of my career, presenting at local, state and national conferences such as NAFCC, NAEYC Professional Development Institute, NAEYC Annual Conference, McCormick Center for Early Childhood Leadership Connections and Zero to Three. Since joining Rasmussen College in 2010, my work has revolved around the creation and management of the Early Childhood Education Associate and Bachelor Degree programs. I have been proud to design and write college courses while teaching both residentially and online. Teaching and inspiring adults who work with children is my mission.
