Clare Devlin MA Ed

I began my career as a Foundation Stage teacher before becoming a primary and early years adviser with my local Education Authority in 1995. As a Director of Programs with the Early Years Organization, Belfast (2007-2009), I played a pivotal role in developing the Sure Start Developmental Program for Two- & Three-Year-Olds in Northern Ireland.

Since 2009, I have worked independently as a trainer, consultant and mentor supporting primary and early years educators to transform their observation and play practice to ensure that no child is left behind. Combining online and in-person formats, I support schools and organizations with research-driven training focused on creative and critical thinking both indoors and outdoors.

My expertise includes observing, documenting, assessing and planning for children’s critical thinking and learning. A book is in the pipeline - early 2026!
